The Sirmione literary walk
The suggestive route of Sirmione‘s literary walk is held in six stages, from the pretty neighbourhood’s of Lugana and Colombare, up to the historic town centre at the tip of the peninsula.
As you walk from place to place, you can enjoy the romantic views of the town and the natural beauty of the surrounding area. Then at specific points there are signs with QR codes for you to scan with your smart phones. These allow you to listen to audio extracts on a literary theme, with passages selected according to the theme chosen for the specific year.
The first walk in 2021 was dedicated to Dante (italian only) on the 700th anniversary of his death and each year the walk will be dedicated to a different topic or literary figure.
The stages of Sirmione’s literary walk include: Punta Grò, Lugana lakefront, Galeazzi beach, Largo Pertini, Parco Callas, San Pietro in Mavino.
