Sirmione Award for Photography

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the beauty of Sirmione and Lake Garda, the Sirmione Award for Photography is a regular appointment for enthusiasts in search of original and exciting shots capable of winning the rich jackpot.

Born in 2010 from an idea by Ennio Poli, the Award, after its great initial success, has been transformed and enriched, becoming an important appointment and an attractive challenge for photography lovers.

The Sirmione Award for Photography offers five challenges:

Sirmione Photo Residency, a two-week residency in Sirmione during which to develop your own photographic project under the guidance of two experts from Magnum Photos;

Lake Garda Block Notes Photo Contest, an online-only competition divided into four weekly sessions with four interrelated themes (photographs can be taken anywhere);

Sirmione 10% Photo Marathon, a one-hour photographic “run” on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Sirmione Award for Photography;

Sirmione Photo Marathon, eight hours to develop four themes, losing yourself among the fascinating corners of Sirmione, full of suggestions and full of life;

Lake Garda Photo Challenge, the historical photography competition dedicated to Sirmione and Lake Garda, with a special section dedicated to the Lugana Wineries of Sirmione.

Every year the most beautiful pictures are displayed in the halls of Palazzo Callas Exhibitions in an exhibition exclusively dedicated to the photographers of the Sirmione Award for Photography.
