How to Arrive

Sirmione is located in the southern Garda Lake area, in the province of Brescia, namely in the territory of Lombardy Region, near the border with the provinces of Mantua and Verona. You can get to Sirmione by your own means, such as car or camper, or by public transport services, such as bus, train and plane. If your destination is in the centre of Sirmione, we suggest you consult the Parking page in order to find out how to best travel around avoiding the no-traffic zone and, in addition, the most suitable solution to park your vehicle.

The Welcome Point allows automatic transit only to authorized vehicles, for which a special lane is reserved.

For vehicles whose license plate is already entered in the ZTL system, access is therefore automatic, in compliance with the time slots for entering the centre.

Those who instead need to stop temporarily to carry out loading / unloading operations in piazzale Porto will have to display the appropriate ticket issued by the Welcome Point employee, which will allow them to stop for a maximum period of 2 hours.

The operations for registering and entering the license plates to be authorized in the system will be carried out in the following ways:

  • For those who have to stop temporarily in Piazzale Porto / Lungolago Diaz, the operator will issue a ticket with the license plate number to be displayed clearly, in order to stay for a maximum of 2 hours (see FAQ).
  • For those who also need to access the ZTL area, the operator will issue a ticket with the license plate number, which is essential to be able to complete the accreditation according to the category to which they belong, such as for example a customer staying once he arrives at the hotel, disabled, taxi, NCC, non-regular supplier. (see FAQ and ordinance n.20 for the modalities).
